Jarom has spent nearly two whole weeks at the MTC now. He is loving every second of it, minus being away from family. He is really missing his niece Alexis but he knows she will be waiting for him when he returns home.
After being in the MTC for only 3 days he had already learned a short prayer and could give a short testimony of his faith in Spanish!! Amazing work! If he could learn that much in only 3 days, we are all positive he will be amazingly fluent after 9 weeks.
While he is in the MTC he is only allowed 30 minutes a week on the computer so email is not the best way to get a response from him. It is best if you can write him. Or if you email him and include your address he will mail you a letter back. He can write letters all week so it works best. If you would like for him to write you a letter, send your address in a Facebook message and we will give it to him.
Jarom has been in the MTC with his little brother Moroni but they do not get to see each other much. They were divided shortly after arriving since Jarom is to learn Spanish. Moroni has one more week left in the MTC before he leaves for Canada. He is very excited and looking forward to beginning his missionary work.
Jarom's little sister Sariah is doing good also. She is in Texas. She is now Spanish speaking but she did not receive the 9 weeks of training in the MTC as Jarom is. She has to learn the language on her own. She is very nervous about this but we all know she will do great. She is a very smart young woman and as long as she remains diligent in her studies she will receive the gift of tongues.
