Jarom is leaving for Mexico today. He has been spending the past couple of months in Salt Lake City, Utah because there was a delay in his VISA. He has made many new friends in this short amount of time and learned much about the mission field. He is very excited and ready to be leaving today for Leon, Mexico. When he gets there, his mission president will let him know where exactly he is going; however, we will not know his exact where-abouts until next monday when he emails. He gets to call a few select members of his family while he is at the airport so you can imagine how anxious we have all been waiting by our phones hoping it will ring. It will be nice to hear his voice after all this time.
While Jarom was in Utah he was not able to exercise his new found language as there were no Spanish speakers, so when he gets to Mexico it will be a challenge for him at first so keep him in your prayers that he will over come the language barrier fast!
This is the closing marks of the last letter he sent us:
"As being a representative of Jesus Christ, I know He loves you, so don't forget that! Always pray to Him and read about Him in the scriptures. To receive the blessing He promises we need to be obedient and strive to always be worthy to return to him. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
"1 of my favorite versus, read it, it is why I am out doing what I am doing! Alma 36:24"
Yea, and from that time even until now, I have labored without ceasing, that I might bring souls unto repentance; that I might bring them to taste of the exceeding joy of which I did taste; that they might also be born of God, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
Again, if you have not emailed him lately, or at all!, do so, he would really love to hear from all of you!! If you have any questions please ask him. Do not be afraid, no question is a stupid question. Drop a note and tell him "hi," even if thats all it says, let him know that you are thinking of him. He still has 20 more months to be out on his mission! It has only just begun.
